Meet Dr. Malathi Ellis

Spoken Languages: English & Tamil

Malathi Ellis, MD, FACOG is a highly trained OB/GYN and co-founder of Nurture Women's Health and The Stella Med Spa, an all-female physician practice in Frisco, Texas.
Born and raised in North Carolina, Dr. Ellis has always had a passion for women’s health and began her journey toward becoming an OB/GYN at North Carolina State University in Raleigh, North Carolina, where she graduated with a bachelor’s degree in biochemistry. At the time, she did not know this degree would come in handy when it came to recommending skin care and treatments designed to improve skin health.
She then attended East Carolina University in Greenville, North Carolina, where she received her medical degree, and completed her internship and residency in obstetrics and gynecology at the University of Arizona in Tucson.

In 2005, Dr. Ellis moved to Texas and began a private practice, serving the community of Dallas and its surrounding areas. After many years, she decided to join forces with female physicians to create Nurture Women’s Health.
While caring for her patients who suffer from disorders such as polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS), hirsutism (excessive growth of dark or coarse hair in a male-like pattern), and female urinary problems, she discovered she wanted to offer more treatment options to improve her patients’ decreased self-esteem caused by the side-effects associated with the disorders. Thus, the idea for opening The Stella Med Spa was born.
Dr. Malathi Ellis is a “straight-shooter” with a generous heart. When she is not hard at work, she enjoys spending time with her husband and three children, cooking, gardening, and reading science fiction and comic books.
